Signing off!

I went to see my doctor today, and it looks like I’m not going to be able to finish up my internship this season. I was feeling pretty down about the whole thing all morning, but then I realized that even though I broke my leg, I’m pretty lucky to have had such a great month. Ever since I was little I wanted to get up close and personal with a tornado, and I never thought that I’d get to. But I GOT to, and more than once even.

Then, later a package arrived:

Now, if anything could cheer me up – it’s a visit from an old friend! It looks like my luck is going to change for the better.

Thank you for reading, and for all the great comments! The team is looking for a new recruit, so make sure to check in tomorrow for details.

Stay Twisty!

Pete

  1. I have to say Pete, your blog was one of the best things about my day. That stinks that you can't finish the season up, but it's great that you got to do what you did for the past month. And they found the mascot! Good luck with the leg! :)

  2. Oh Pete, I'm so sorry! That really stinks that you won't be able to finish your internship, but I'll hope that whoever will be replacing you do just as great a job as you did! I'll certainly miss hearing about your adventures each day. Has Scott said ANYTHING about the person who will be replacing you? His/her name, maybe?

Have fun doing whatever it is you will be doing next, and keep us posted! :)

  3. Thanks for reading! Being the Canute team's intern has been a lot of fun, and I'm certainly going to miss it.

Scott hasn't said anything yet about who's going to take over as intern, I think Debbie's going to announce the position soon. Any readers who are interested in joining the Canute team should apply. The storm season is still just winding up, and I'm guessing there are going to be a lot of pretty crazy storms before too long :)

  4. Pete, I'm so sorry!
I'll miss reading your daily adventures, it's a huge pity that you don't get to finish your internship, but, on the bright side, you can stay at home and play TOT (Trail of The Twister) seeing it will come out tomorrow!
Hope your leg feel's better, ;D
